Okay, you may be asking yourself... "Hey Earth, why did you label this toy for adults only? Isn't the real figure for ages 15+?" And you would be right. Yes, the real Megahouse figures are aimed at ages 15+. But I don't know what paint was used on the fakes, that's why the age rating just got jacked up. Bootleg figures never go by the standards we have in place for Chinese-made goods. I can't tell if this was basic acrylic paint or lead. If it's lead, or the toys are lined with BPA or some other cancer-causing chemical, then I can't in good faith rate it for anyone under 18. If you don't know what lead paint can do to you, Google it. You'll understand. But anyway, onto the problem. I purchased two bootleg figures from yiyi0616. At the time, she had photos of the real figures, but has since changed the pictures after I complained. Her old profile stated she was in Connecticut, so I didn't think anything of buying Neptune and Saturn, since those were the two I was missing. Two weeks later, I get a thin, plastic package from China. I open the package, examine the contents and realize I was taken for a ride. These were fakes. Now to her credit, yiyi0616 did refund me the money for the figures, and she said she was fine with me keeping them as well, so I don't have to re-ship them. What can I do with fakes? Easy! I can make a video to share with you all, along with [pictures of what to look out for. Now the good news is that after I got my money back, I did get a real Sailor Neptune figure, but I'm still searching for a Sailor Saturn. If you are willing to part with a Glitter Sailor Saturn (A or B) please shoot me an email with the subject line "Glitter Sailor Saturn" and don't be afraid to send pics. If the price is right and it's not a fake, I'll be happy to PayPal ya! One more thing of note, yiyi0616 again did send me a refund, but check out the verbal tongue lashing I got for it: |
Wonderful grammar, right?
