On October 3rd, my husband (pictured above) bought an "Assassin's Creed" coat from The Brothers Cut. You probably have seen their ads on Facebook and on various gaming websites and forums, as they spare no expense for advertising. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their material. I thought it would be pretty cool if he got an Assassin's Creed-style jacket. This way, he could cosplay for Halloween, take it to conventions, but also keep warm in the Fall, so I told him to get it. This was October 3rd. October 24th, without any prior contact from The Brothers Cut, the jacket arrives in a stark, black bag from China. It's taped and double-wrapped in thick plastic. We open the bag, and pull out the jacket. On the website, the size we ordered was a US 2XL. The tag reads 5XL. I guess Americans are giants in China. He puts the jacket on and the zipper is already BROKEN. I had to jimmy the zipper so it would close the coat. As you can see in the picture, this is NOT an Assassin's Creed jacket. Only two and a half metal snaps, and NONE of the trimmings described in the photo. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten a more convincing coat at Wal-Mart if given the chance. The material is a fleece/felt combo with cotton on the sleeves and a small hoodie that barely fits. It doesn't even give off the vibe of an Assassin's Creed character! Buyer Beware, this was not worth the $23 plus shipping. |
