Last year, I compiled some of my best "anime style" wrestling art into a book, titled "Wrestling Between Ake and Bullard" a colorful art book with jokes, poems and stories from my time knowing pro wrestlers from all walks of life.
What you may not know is that it set a world record. This is actually the world's very first wrestling art book to be sold via Amazon's CreateSpace platform.
So which wrestlers are we talking about? Well how about a few WWE names, such as Daniel Bryan, (he's on the cover) C.M. Punk, Bret Hart, Rhyno, and the newest WWE Superstar, A.J, Styles? Or such independent stars as Colt Cabana and Sami Callihan? These guys are truthfully larger than life inside and outside the squared circle.
The reason why most American anime fans seem to gravitate towards wrestlers is because they sprint, fight and emote like real-life anime superheroes, so it only seems natural to draw them this way. But how about I give you a free sample of some of the artwork used for the book?
Wrestling Between Ake and Bullard focuses on everything that's right with wrestling, and makes a great tag team with your Kindle, if you need a good laugh on your road to Wrestlemania!
